These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the heysteady.app website and the Steady application (together, the "Service"), operated by Steady ("we," "us"). By creating an account, joining the waitlist, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
Steady is a personal life-management tool. It processes receipt and bill emails from a personal email account you connect (or forward from), plus content you choose to upload, and produces things like a pantry inventory, bill reminders, outfit and meal suggestions, and drafted journal entries. Suggestions are generated automatically, including by AI systems, and may be incomplete or inaccurate; the Service is an assistant, not a guarantee.
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. You are responsible for your account credentials and for connecting only email accounts you own and have the right to connect. The Service is designed for personal email accounts; do not connect workplace or third-party accounts.
Paid plans have not launched. Steady is free while it is in early access, and the terms below take effect when paid plans begin — you will not be charged without signing up for one first.
Don't misuse the Service — including attempting to breach security, reverse engineer, scrape, resell, or overload it; connecting accounts you don't own; or using it to violate any law or third-party right. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
You retain ownership of the content you provide (uploaded receipts, journal entries, notes) and the data derived from your email. You grant us a limited license to process it solely to operate and improve the Service for you, consistent with our Privacy Policy. You can delete your data or account at any time.
The Service, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by us or our licensors. These Terms don't grant you any rights to it except the limited right to use the Service as intended.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that every receipt, bill, or item will be detected or parsed correctly.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate the Service or your access to it for violation of these Terms or where required by law, with notice where practicable.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes we will give you notice by email or in the app before they take effect; continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
